DBJ DESIGN PORTFOLIO
Common Ground
Visual Identity, Add-Ons and Website Design
About The Project:
Common Ground is a premium-yet-accessible co-working space designed to champion genuine collaboration, creativity, and community. They cater to freelancers, small teams, and remote workers who crave more than just Wi-Fi and coffee — they want a space that inspires innovation, supports wellbeing, and encourages networking without the awkward forced events.
The owners planned to launch with their best foot forward, and hired DBJ Studio to build a solid strategy, welcoming website and vibrant visuals. This project came with a set of requirements, all of which we managed to incorporate in this visual identity:
- Subtle nods to nature and movement
- Strong typography
- Earthy, calming tones combined with energetic colours
With the core values of sustainability, love and community, we came up with the ‘bee-leaf’ icon which acts as a submark and visual asset. The bee-leaf combined the Monstera plant, known for its iconic heart-shaped leaves and the Bee which is often associated with community traits.
Working on this project was a fantastic demonstration of how an industry is never to crowded if you know how to stand out.
